Gillian wanted a bench so she could sit at her bar comfortably. Instead of bar stools she wanted a bench because a bench can get you closer to those you are sittin with. She gave me full artistic license to do whatever I wanted and based on our conversations about her life and her tastes I decided on something that fit her: simple yet elegant.
